Tonight's hotly anticipated episode of The Flash will bring on the singing and dancing for the musical crossover with Supergirl, and to whet our appetite for the event, The CW has released two more clips and some new character portraits.
The crossover began in last night's "Star-Crossed" Supergirl episode (I hope you guys saw it!) and continues on tonight's The Flash installment titled "Duet." The music mayhem was kicked off when Music Meister (Darren Criss) whammied Kara (Melissa Benoist) at the DEO before returning to Earth-1 in the final minutes of Supergirl.
In tonight's Flash, Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) follow suit with a comatose Girl of Steel in tow to ask for Team Flash's help. In the first sneak peek, Barry finds himself in the alternate reality created by the Music Meister when the DC villain pulls the same trick. There, he finds Kara singing a rendition of "Moon River."
In the second clip, Hank reveals his true form as the Martian Manhunter to Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) – to great effect. I've also included a short interview with John Barrowman (Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow), who will guest-star in the musical (and so does Victor Garber as Martin Stein).
Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can't cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end.
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
