It never hurts to ask. But this epic diss it might have pierced the cold, burnt, scab covered thing that is Deadpool’s heart.

Ryan Reynolds tweeted a hilarious rejection letter that was allegedly penned by Avengers head honcho, Iron Man. The letter has a fancy Stark Industries letterhead, dated in 2012, with whiskey stains, and a fancy Tony Stark autograph. The distressed response regarding Deadpool’s Avengers application reads, “No. Absolutely not. Go bother Prof. X. No.”

It’s almost as if Deadpool had a “Throwback Thursday” moment in honor of the cricital acclaim and box office success that is the Avengers: Infinity War. It has been six years since Stark made that decision so that he might reconsider his decision due to the aftermath of Infinity War and the 20th Century Fox and Disney merger.

Deadpool 2 will have his hands full with his own super team to manager against Cable aka Thanos actor Josh Brolin in the highly anticipated sequel that’s set to hit theaters everywhere on May 18.
