All hell (or, well, heaven?) broke loose in the midseason finale of The CW’s Supernatural, and the first clip from the series’ return shows that things are going to get a whole lot worse.
After seeing Kevin murdered right in front of him, and with Sam possessed and on the run, Dean is obviously pretty desperate. How desperate? Plan A is that he goes to Crowley for help. Yikes. The Winchesters have kept the King of Hell locked up for much of the season, and Crowley has just been biding his time waiting for a chance to cause trouble. Well, it looks like his time has come.
Here’s the synopsis for the Jan. 14 midseason premiere, “Road Trip”:
Dean (Jensen Ackles) is devastated after Kevin's death and vows to find the angel that killed him, not only to free Sam (Jared Padalecki) but to seek revenge. Castiel (Misha Collins) arrives at the bunker and suggests they try to separate Sam's brain from the angel's so they can talk to Sam and have him expel Gadreel. However, there's one small problem: The only person who knows how to do that is Crowley (Mark Sheppard).
Do you like the direction of this season, or do you think the long-running fan favorite has finally outstayed its welcome?
