If you want the complete Destiny 2 experience, then you will need a PlayStation 4. While that's great news for owners of Sony's system this generation, it might frustrate those planning to play on their new Xbox One X. Still, thanks to the partnership between Sony and Activision for exclusive content, we got a brand-new trailer for Destiny 2 Monday night at Sony's E3 2017 showcase, with a focus on the new villain, Dominus Ghaul.
"Welcome to a world without light," Ghaul says to kick off the trailer. In Destiny 2, the Guardians of lost, the last city has fallen, and the Vanguard scattered. Ghaul brags about his world-conquering and his desire to take the Traveller's light for himself.
After that bit of story tease, we see some very fast-paced gunplay as the Guardians dive into the fray.
As for that exclusive content, PS4 gamers will get an exclusive strike called "Lake of Shadows," some exclusive gear, an exclusive ship "City Apex," an exotic weapon called "Borealis" and a PVP map called "Retribution."
Destiny 2 is out for PS4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2017 (and late October on PC). Pre-orders get to play the beta in July, August on PC.
