Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan hasn’t exactly been shy about his love for the medium of anime. But now Jordan may have a new favorite anime of his own. Rooster Teeth has announced that Jordan has been cast as the leading character of gen:Lock, an anime-style series that Jordan will also co-produce through his company, Outlier Society Productions.

Gen:Lock takes place in the future as Earth’s last remaining free society finds itself losing a global war. Jordan will step into the role of Julian Chase, a pilot who takes control of a next-generation mecha to keep his society alive. Rooster Teeth included a picture of Julian to go with the announcement of the series.

There’s a new face coming to Descendants 3, the upcoming Disney Channel TV movie that will continue the Descendants franchise. According to Variety, Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story) is set to step into the role of Hades, the ruler of the underworld who was memorably voiced by James Woods in the 1997 animated adaptation of Hercules

Because the premise of Descendants deals with Disney villains and their children, Hades’ son will likely be featured in the new movie. While neither Hades nor his son Hadie have appeared in the two previous Descendants films, they were mentioned by name in the Return to the Isle of the Lost novel.

Descendants 3 is expected to film this summer with a debut in Disney Channel slated to follow in 2019.

Finally, Deadline is reporting that USA Network has canceled the supernatural drama Falling Water after two seasons. Lizzie Brochere, David Ajala, and Will Yun Lee starred in the series as a trio of strangers who discovered that they had the ability to control and manipulate dreams. There’s currently no word on whether the series may be rescued by another network or streaming service, but it doesn’t appear to be likely at this point in time.
