Did you catch this Star Wars Rebels easter egg in the latest Rogue One footage?

Disney is taking steps to further unify the Star Wars universe, and a new look at Rogue One has revealed an easter egg connecting back to the animated series Star Wars Rebels. You just have to look pretty closely.

Before we break it down, check out the footage below (via a new TV spot for the film) and keep your eyes peeled:

 

Did you spot it? In case you didn’t notice the ship in the bottom left of that space shot, Making Star Wars notes it almost certainly looks to be a VCX-100 light freighter. The design should be familiar to Rebels viewers, since it's the same model as the Ghost ship the Rebels crew has been using the past few seasons. So is this the Ghost? Well, probably not. But, it’s still a subtle bit of world-building to help tie all these pieces together.

Now we just need Grand Admiral Thrawn to pop up in live action …
