Thanks to the mid-credits scene for Doctor Strange, we've known for almost a year that Benedict Cumberbatch's sorcerer supreme would be showing up in Thor: Ragnarok, though it doesn't look like he'll be making the trip to Asgard to join Team Thor and stop their apocalypse.

A new international trailer is filled with Doctor Strange, who appears to have the role of "call to adventure," if we're following the Hero's Journey here. He tells Thor "there's been a great change in your future" and even more ominously, "destiny has dire plans for you, my friend."

The conversation must be in Act 1, because Thor still has his long locks, and presumably Mjolnir. Indeed, after that first chat, we see him throwing his mystical hammer at Hela, and her shattering it, as seen in the first trailer.

There's not much else that's brand new in the new trailer, aside from a quick shot of Bruce Banner flying a spacecraft, confirming that Banner does get more screen time, and not just Hulk. Though after we see Gladiator Hulk in action, it might be hard to go back to puny Banner, regardless of Mark Ruffalo's vast talent.

Check out the new trailer below, and get ready for Thor: Ragnarok in theaters Nov. 3, 2017.
