After starring in The Ring and its sequel more than 10 years ago (how time flies!), Naomi Watts (The Divergent Series) is returning to the horror movie genre with Shut In, and here's the first trailer.
Directed by Farren Balckburn (Hammer of the Gods), the psychological thriller also stars Jacob Tremblay, who wowed everyone with his performance in Room (for which Brie Larson nabbed a best actress Oscar), Oliver Platt (Flatliners, 2012), and Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things).
The story centers on a child psychologist, played by Watts, who adopts a troubled, deaf foster child named Tom (Tremblay) after her son (Heaton) is left in a vegetative state following a car accident that took the life of her husband. Of course, weird, scary, ghostly sorts of things start to happen in the house when the child disappears during a huge blizzard. Check out the trailer:
A heart-pounding thriller about a widowed child psychologist who lives in an isolated existence in rural New England. Caught in a deadly winter storm, she must find a way to rescue a young boy before he disappears forever.
Shut In will open on Nov. 11.
