Last week, Bungie released a lengthy featurette on the making of Destiny 2: Forsaken, an expansion that features a new vibe, more locales, customizable weapons, and an in-game reward system that builds up your character's strength over time. With E3 now in full swing, the developer has unveiled the "Story Reveal" trailer, which is set to the somber tune of Murder By Death's "Go To The Light."

Check it out:

The official plot of Forsaken takes place in a lawless version of the Reef, which is now populated by some of the most infamous criminals in the galaxy. The inamtes in the Prison of Edlers have escaped thanks to a well-planned jailbreak planned by the Barons and Uldren Sov.

As the player, you'll have to restore law and order with Cayde-6, who can't handle the danger and ends up murdererd. On your own, you'll have to undertake the mission alone while exploring "new regions, awaken new powers, earn a wealth of new weapons, and uncover lost Awoken secrets."

Destiny 2: Forsaken becomes available on Sept. 4, although pre-ordering the expansion will allow for some exclusive DLC such as "Cayde’s Exotic Stash."
