"I am the Iron Fist." Netflix has dropped some exciting new goodies for Marvel's Iron Fist, including a new featurette featuring lots of awesome new footage and a cool motion poster that shows the Living Weapon channeling his chi.
Titled "I Am Danny," the featurette focuses on the titular character, played by former Game of Thrones star Finn Jones, and takes a look at Danny Rand's return to NYC (dude was believed dead for 15 years) and what it means for his company, Rand Enterprises -- now run by his childhood friends Ward (Tom Pelphrey) and Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup) -- and the criminal organization known as The Hand. Hint: Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho) warns Danny that "this city is no place for the Iron Fist."
So yeah, there's plenty of new footage to chew on, including more scenes between Danny and Colleen Wing (fellow Game of Thrones alum Jessica Henwick), Madame Gao, K'un-Lun and quite a lot more. The one thing that's still MIA is a first look at the final Defender in his Iron Fist costume, but I'm guessing they'll pull a Daredevil and it won't be revealed until the final episode.
Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this Living Weapon is forced to choose between his family's legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.
All 13 episodes of the street-level superhero series from showrunner Scott Buck (Marvel's The Inhumans) will premiere on Netflix on March 17. Are you guys looking forward to Marvel's Iron Fist?
