The universe, man. It’s a wild place, filled with wild people and even wilder substances. Some people use them to escape the universe, while others use it to connect to it. And some people are willing to go to the ends of the universe to find more.

Ana and Gabe are two such free-spirited people, and are at the center of Void Trip, the latest sci-fi adventure from Image Comics, from the expanded minds of writer Ryan O’Sullivan and artist Plaid Klaus, the creative team behind Turncoat. They’re the last two humans in the universe, and they’re using that opportunity to venture across space in search of a galactic-level drug known as “froot.”

The first issue of Void Trip isn’t in stores until November 22, but you don’t have to wait until then, because we have your first hit free, in the form of an exclusive six-page preview of the first issue. The preview is very funny and has some jaw-dropping artwork to make sure that you’ll be coming back for more.

Keep reading for the official synopsis of the first issue, followed by the preview in the gallery below. And be sure to let us know in the comments if it gets you buzzed enough to pick up the series when it lands this fall.

Ana and Gabe are the last two humans left alive in the galaxy. They're low on fuel, they're low on food, and they're low on psychedelic space froot, but they're still determined to make it to the promised land: hippy-paradise, super-planet Euphoria. This is the story of their journey, the friends and enemies they made along the way, and how the universe responded to those who dared to live freely within it.
