It ain't all dining with your Octopus butler and hugging dolphins when you're the King of Atlantis. Instead, sometimes you actually have to rule -- and find out who framed you and is trying to incite a war with the surface world. Oh yeah, and plan a wedding.
Hence the appropriate title for Aquaman #7, "Uneasy Lies the Head that Wears the Crown." The issue, which drops Wednesday, Sept. 21, opens with Arthur processing Superman's "stern warning" (or threat, or expulsion from the Justice League?) from Issue 6, while a school of his Atlantean advisors seek his counsel.
And in the following exclusive preview of the issue, you can check out the simmering tensions his engagement to Mera might cause, as well as what the Drift special forces are up to. The issue is written by Dan Abnett, with art by Wayne Faucher and Scot Eaton; cover art is by Andrew Hennessy, and Bradley Walker, with a variant cover by Joshua Middleton. If you like what you see in the preview, pick it up when the comic, published by DC Comics, is available this Wednesday.
The official synopsis
“Who framed Aquaman?” The investigation into the Atlantean attack on American forces kicks off a mystery as the criminal collective N.E.M.O. unleashes a new and terrible weapon that threatens the existence of Atlantis itself.
