Get ready for a howl of a horror book, because Jughead: The Hunger #1, the werewolf tale published by Archie Comics, is available Oct. 25 -- and we have an exclusive taste of the debut issue below.

In the upcoming comic, which continues the story from the one-shot, Jughead Jones is a werewolf. Now Betty Cooper: Werewolf Hunter and Archie Andrews are hot on the trail of the monster with a crown cap.

Rated for teens and up, the 32-page book is written by Frank Tieri, with art by Pat and Tim Kennedy, Bob Smith, Jim Amash, Matt Herms, and Jack Morelli. Cover is by Francesco Francavilla, with variant covers by Robert Hack, and Michael Walsh.

Said Tierie about the new book, "When last we left Jug, he was on the run after relapsing and seemingly murdering Reggie."

He adds:

"Archie and Betty are hot on the trail after him, but even though we'll see they may be closing in, they may not be the biggest threat Jug is going to face. That may be coming from the aforementioned Reggie, who might not be as dead as we were led to believe. And will definitely be out for blood."
