Hmm, this is getting interesting. First we heard from longtime X-Men co-star Patrick Stewart (Professor X) that he's game for another installment, and now Jean Grey herself, Famke Janssen, has opened up about the odds of a sequel. So what does she have to say?
Not many specifics, sadly, but the fact that she's being coy and talking about it means there is probably at least something going on behind the scenes.
In an interview with MTV, she teases:
"One never knows. Jean Grey, the Phoenix ... she finds a way to reincarnate herself constantly, so one never knows ... I have no idea. Stay tuned."The rumor mill is churning that the upcoming X-Men: First Class sequel Days of Future Past could include some alternate timelines, potentially opening up a way to have the young and old versions of the X-Men meet up in one epic film.
Bringing together the world of the old X-Men trilogy with the awesome period-set First Class series could be a monster hit—hard to pull off, sure, but huge.
Regardless, we'll definitely "stay tuned."
