The CW’s Flash threw a major twist into its Season 2 premiere, and now the hit superhero series is finally paying it off.
Spoilers ahead for Season 2 of The Flash!
The season premiere revealed the repercussions of the singularity that opened above Central City, and how the Flash wasn’t actually the man who stopped it — that honor went to Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), who exploded in the singularity, (seemingly) sacrificing himself to shut it down. But did he? Apparently, Ronnie is back.
At least, some version of Ronnie is back. A set pic from the production of Season 2 has surfaced, showing Ronnie sporting a new-look Firestorm suit. The scene apparently takes place on Earth-2, as word recently broke that Barry (and possibly some of the gang) would be heading through the portal to get a look at the alternate universe. But the big question remains: Is this Earth-2 Ronnie, or was the “original” Ronnie transported through the singularity while closing it?
We’re fascinated to find out, and however they decide to play this twist, it’ll be great to see Amell suiting up again. Might we get a Firestorm vs. Firestorm faceoff?
