Oh boy, do we have some truly awesome news! We just learned that Farscape and Stargate SG-1 actor Ben Browder will guest-star in an upcoming episode of Doctor Who. Can we say Best. News. Ever?
According to this month's Doctor Who Magazine (in the U.K., so don't go looking for it in the U.S. right now), Browder—who played lost astronaut John Crichton on four seasons of Farscape and Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell on two seasons of Stargate SG-1—has apparently been tapped to appear in the third episode of Doctor Who's seventh season.
The episode, written by Being Human creator and frequent Who contributor Toby Whithouse ("School Reunion," "The Vampires of Venice," "The God Complex"), will be set in the Wild Wild West, with filming to actually take place in Madrid, Spain.
According to Doctor Who TV, all three of the main cast—Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill—were just spotted arriving there yesterday.
Right. There you have it. This must be the most exciting piece of sci-fi news today, since we absolutely love Ben Browder and miss seeing him on our TV screens. (Bar his recent thrilling stint on Chuck, we haven't seen much of him. More Browder, we say!)
So, what do you think? Are you even more excited for Doctor Who's seventh season right about now? Are you curious to know which role Browder will play? (Our money's on a lawman. We kinda see him as a Wyatt Earp type.)
