Fear is almost here! Season 4 of Fear the Walking Dead premieres April 15, and AMC has dropped an extended trailer to prepare fans for the new-look Walking Dead spinoff.

What has fans most excited is the introduction of Lennie James, who plays Morgan. Originally seen in the first season of The Walking Dead, as the first survivor Rick meets after his coma, Morgan appears off and on through The Walking Dead until he finally joins the show as a regular in Season 6. Morgan will be the first character to cross over from the original show to the spinoff.

The trailer has a more lighthearted feeling overall. It seems that he is coming over to FTWD after his time spent in Eastman's cell. This was seen in Season 6, the episode entitled "Here's Not Here," but it is shown as a flashback so it is uncertain when the events actually took place. But this is cearly after Morgan becomes proficient with his staff, and is at peace with his son's death. The network has kept things on the mysterious side when it comes to the exact timeline of the new season, so we'll likely have to wait and see to know for sure how all this fits in.

We also get our first look at new series regulars Jenna Elfman and Garret Dillahunt. We don't get any details on their characters, but it is amusing to see Dillahunt playing a cowboy in this show, considering he also appeared in HBO's Deadwood.

The official synopsis for Season 4, as well as the key art, follows:

In Season 4, we will see the world of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her family through new eyes — the eyes of Morgan Jones (Lennie James), who is joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead. The characters’ immediate pasts mix with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes and threats. They fight for each other, against each other and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; and the heroic, mercenary and craven, all crashing together toward a new reality for Fear the Walking Dead.
