The first season just wrapped up last week, but AMC is already primed for the second year of the undead spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead. So, what should we expect?
The creative team, along with the series’ stars, chatted about the direction of Season 2 in a new featurette — and it’s loaded with juicy details. Not surprisingly, they’ll be drilling deeper into the characters we met over the abbreviated debut season, specifically Madison (Kim Dickens) and her mysterious dark past. Which, in the post-apocalypse, that old life might just be the thing that saves her.
The producers also tease how Travis (Cliff Curtis) will have to come to grips with the new reality, after spending most of Season 1 fighting to see the best in people (a trait that came back to bite him in the finale). It also sounds like that boat teased in the final moments of the season finale could play a major role next season, which is a fascinating dynamic that’s been essentially unexplored in the flagship series (the comic run notwithstanding).
