NBC is finally dishing out promotion for Mockingbird Lane. They've released 11 photos from the series-turned-special that feature the revamped Munsters. Back in July, we caught a glimpse of the clan when a leaked photo hit the net. Now we've got official images courtesy of the network itself.
Mockingbird Lane comes from the mind of creator Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies, Hannibal). NBC coughed up $10 million for the pilot episode, which was two years in the making. But instead of taking it to series, it will air later this month as a Halloween special.
The show's based on the sitcom The Munsters, which ran from 1964 to 1966. At first, the idea of a remake sounded like a disaster waiting to happen. They took some creative license that dramatically changed its look and tone. But we have to admit, these photos aren't that bad.
Herman (Jerry O'Connell) isn't a full-on Frankenstein, but he has prominent scars and stitches. Plus Grandpa (Eddie Izzard) kind of looks like a rock star. Now that you've seen the real deal, what do you think of Mockingbird Lane?
Mockingbird Lane airs Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
