It may have been a "blink and you miss it moment" but what a moment.

CinemaCon started April 27 and runs through April 30, but for many fans, the highlight happened yesterday when a Disney sizzle reel included footage from the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The sizzle reel was recently played at the Disney stockholder's meeting, so you may have heard about this, but this is the first time footage has been available more widely. The reaction was immediate.

Just saw a short glimpse of Star Wars: The Last Jedi footage in a sizzle reel. Rey holding the lightsaber ignited, and her moving the rocks.

In a huge sizzle reel they showed two shots of Rey using with the lightsaber. I'm buzzing. Just two shots!!

Oohhh, shots of #ThorRagnarok and #TheLastJedi were in the IMAX sizzle reel. Shot of Rey wielding a lightsaber and thrashing it around!

Like we said, it's not much, but it sure sounds like Rey is learning how to use the Force to move and control objects and that she's becoming more skilled with a lightsaber. Popular opinion is that attendees of Star Wars Celebration will see the first trailer, so keep an eye out for more news as we cover SWCO next month.

We'll update throughout the day if more news on The Last Jedi footage seen at CinemaCon footage becomes available.
