After taking a decade off from directing, anime filmmaker Masaaki Yuasa has released not one but two films this year. First, Lu Over The Wall debuted in the U.S. earlier this year. And now we can expect to see his latest, The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl

This summer, animated film distributor GKIDS and Fathom Events will present Yuasa’s latest animated feature. Limited screenings will also feature interviews with the director.

The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl centers on one night in Kyoto. As a group of teens go out for a night on the town, a sophomore known as The Girl With Black Hair experiences a series of surreal encounters with the local nightlife. Meanwhile, her fellow classmate Senpai creates increasingly contrived reasons to run into her to win her heart.

Enjoy the first look at the trippy teaser below:

Tickets are available via Fathom Event's website or the film's.
