We've been waiting for the gods to bless us with some intriguing images from the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII and the benevolent beings have heard our cries of anguish.  Have a look at these behind-the-scenes spy shots from the production's new outdoor filming locations in Dubrovnik, Croatia (where Game of Thrones' Kings Landing also films), taken last weekend, revealing a hairy host of alien creatures, a robed reptilian diplomat, a feline-like prop head, sleek sci-fi vehicles, well-dressed dignitaries and some outrageous haircuts.

Directed by Looper's Rian Johnson, Star Wars: Episode VIII is slated for a December 15, 2017 release and stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.

Take a taste of these new images and tell us what you think of this offering of sneaky set shots.
