Everything changes in first TV spot for X-Men series The Gifted

Following the release of the first exciting trailer for The Gifted two weeks ago, a TV spot for the X-Men spinoff series has now dropped.

The new promo features snippets of new footage showing Blink (Jamie Chung), Polaris (Emma Dumont), Thunderbird (Blair Redford) and Eclipse (Sean Teale) in action! What’s cool is that it looks like they’re going all in with the mutant powers, and I can't wait to see it play out on TV.

The Gifted centers on a couple forced to go on the run when they find out their kids are mutants. The series stars Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as Reed Stucker, fan favorite Amy Acker (Angel, Dollhouse, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Person of Interest) as Caitlin Stucker, Natalie Alyn Lind as their daughter Lauren and Percy Hynes White as their son Andy.

There’s no official premiere date yet (besides the fact that it is slated to come out in the fall on Fox) for the mutant series, co-produced by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Television (just like FX’s excellent series Legion) and written by Matt Nix (Burn Notice). X-Men movie director Bryan Singer will sit in the director’s chair for the pilot.

The Gifted, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Are you excited about The Gifted? Will that be a must-watch for you?
