Ghost Rider is back, and he's dripping with anger. The first clip from the upcoming sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance has hit the net, and it gets up close and personal with the new and improved Johnny Blaze.
If you forgot to tune in to the 2011 Scream Awards, you're in luck, because we've discovered one of the many clips that premiered during the show. While accepting the honorary Maverick Award, Nicolas Cage introduced an exclusive scene from Ghost Rider 2 that gave the audience a little taste of the hero's new attitude.
The short clip shows a woman being harassed by a group of thugs led by Limitless star Johnny Whitworth. As he prepares to do some serious damage, he spots a flaming piece of metal in the air. As you might have guessed, it's Johnny Blaze, and he's all hot and bothered (pun intended).
Does any real action occur in this clip? No. Instead, it just gives us a head-to-toe look at Ghost Rider before he goes into full butt-kicking mode. Even though we're always excited to see the flaming skull, the bike and the chain, it would have been great to see him put those things to work.
You can watch the one-minute clip below.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance opens in theaters Feb. 17.
