Jason Voorhees is one persistent fiend and his iconic hockey mask makes for one of the most recognizable, uh, faces in all of horrordom. The upcoming Friday the 13th video game, being overseen by Friday the 13th director Sean Cunningham, will offer a new playable version of Jason from master effects legend and game executive producer Tom Savini, and it's pretty disturbing.

For fans pre-ordering the game, a new incentive will offer up an exclusive Savini Jason skin as part of an add-on DLC. Savini's contributions to the horror industry have been well documented and include creature and makeup effects for everything from Creepshow and From Dusk Till Dawn to Planet Terror and Dawn of the Dead.

This Kickstarter project was funded two years ago and developers Gun Media and Illfonic have been hard at work to deliver a sensational slasher experience to gamers when the multi-player product first becomes available for PC, Xbox One and PS4 later this year.

Grab a glimpse of the demonic new Jason incarnation in the teaser below ... then tell us if you're ready for a little trip back to Camp Crystal Lake when Friday the 13th: The Game strikes this spring.
