A mother's love is a hard thing to break, and this deleted scene from the Thor sequel explains why.
We're now less than a month away from the Blu-ray and DVD release of Thor: The Dark World, which means it's the perfect time for clips to start leaking out. We've already seen, among other things, Tom Hiddleston's original Thor audition, and now we get a closer look at one of the most intriguing character arcs from the film: Loki's continued connection his mother, Frigga (Rene Russo).
If you saw the film, you know that, in many ways, the only link Thor and Loki still had after Loki's arrest and imprisonment was Frigga, who continued to pity her trickster son despite his many crimes. We saw Frigga visit Loki's cell (in a manner of speaking) in the final film, but what we didn't get to see on the big screen was what happened next. In this deleted scene, we get to see Frigga explain her continued concern for Loki to Thor, and it's certainly a moment that enriches the overall story.
Thor: The Dark World hits Blu-ray and DVD on February 25th.
