This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is already looking incredible, just from the merch alone. Its toy exclusives have already been heating up, and now HBO’s Game of Thrones has entered into the fray with some brand-new figurines.
In a release, the show has announced that -- despite being absent from the majority of the convention -- it’s teamed up with Pop! and Dorbz to release a few cool exclusives of its own.
First up is the indomitable Queen of Thorns and matriarch of House Tyrell. Diana Rigg’s intimidating and acerbic Lady Olenna Tyrell of Highgarden is making her debut as a Pop! figure -- wine in hand:
That’s a great hat, some alcohol that may or may not be filled to the brim with her own doom, and a face that says “don’t try me.”
She’s often even more imposing than the basis for the other figures announced today, those of Daenerys's dragons: Rhaegal, Drogon, and Viserion. And wait, is that an ice zombie version of Viserion? That’s a spooky addition to this four-pack:
At least these dragons seem much happier with their lot here than they do in the show. Though we suppose the characters in Game of Thrones who would make for truly gleeful-looking toys are few and far between.
