As part of Syfy 25 – where we’re looking back at everything amazing that’s happened in the world of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror over the last 25 years – we asked a bunch of famous people what sort of geeky stuff they like. Here’s what The Magicians Jade Tailor had to tell us.

Hook.

The best genre series of the last 25 years is:
The Magicians, but I'm biased.

The best genre book of the last 25 years is:
Also, The Magicians. But again, I'm biased.

The best video game of the last 25 years is:
Mario Kart.

The best genre theme song or soundtrack of the last 25 years is:
Jurassic Park theme.



A movie that desperately needs a remake is:
Labyrinth.

On the flipside, a movie that should never ever be remade is:
Labyrinth. I don't like remakes. They aren't nearly as good as the original, but if you must ...

The genre character I most admire and why:
Leeloo from The Fifth Element. Cause she is amazing. The supreme being!

If I could live in any fictional universe or reality, it would be:
Narnia.

Because:
of its magical creatures.

A scene from a movie that scared the ever-living sh*t out of me was:
As a kid ... the scene with the baby and Bowie in Labyrinth.

The most underrated sci-fi/fantasy movie of all time:
Willow.

The most overrated sci-fi/fantasy movie of all time is:
I love them all.

The fictional character with the best style is:
Again, Leeloo.

The best Batman was:
Michael Keaton.

The LOTR character I’d like to be is:
Liv Tyler’s character.

The LOTR character I’d actually be is:
Same.

If I could time-travel I would:
Hmmm. Too many to choose from.

If I could have one superpower, it would be:
The power to turn hate into love. Corny as that sounds, it's what the world needs most.

Which superpower comes with the biggest drawbacks: flight, invisibility, or telekinesis?
Telekinesis.

If I were a hero my sidekick would be:
Supergirl.

The Hogwarts sorting hat would put me in:
Gryffindor.

On a voyage through space, my captain would be:
Captain Kirk.

If I could pick one genre vehicle, my ride would be:
Batmobile.

People in fantasy tales are always British because:
Their accent is magical.

Kirk.
