You can count on Hasbro to bring it at Comic-Con every single year, so you need to arrive with your wallet full of cash and exercise patience braving the long lines. But in case you didn't want the experience of chasing exclusive figures, we've got the next best thing: an up close and personal look at what Hasbro had to offer the most passionate toy collectors.

SYFY WIRE was invited by Hasbro's Vice President of Global Brand Management Derryl DePriest to tour the latest of what they offered at the convention, specifically in 1980s nostalgia with their two big brands, Transformers and G.I. Joe, and also got a look at some first-time Marvel action figures as well as some old friends. There was also a quick mention of the beautiful IDW Revolution / Hasbro shared universe box set, which we got a much closer look at here.

Retro-style releases were big this year, which is why we must start with the pearl of the tour: a complete replica boxed set of the 1982 Cobra Missile Command Headquarters. If you were to stumble upon one complete and in the box, it would set you back $1,000 easily. That's an astonishing price for what is mostly cardboard and a few action figures.

DePriest called it the "holy grail" of G.I. Joe finds, so he showed off the modern day version which had specially designed packaging that felt and looked like it was aged and shelf-worn. They were giving these out at Comic-Con for $54 and you can see in the picture above what it looks like unboxed.

Check out the video below for a SDCC exclusive Transformers Primitive aka Optimus Primal figure based on an '80s design, some partner brand exclusives like the Marvel Legends line that included updating some old-school Toy Biz Marvel toys and the Marvel Legends Mighty Thor 5-Figure set that included Lady Thor/Jane Foster, Odinson, and the first time Bor, Ulik and Malekith have become action figures.

Let us know in the comments section if you were able to score any of the above exclusives or if you're hunting on eBay as a consolation.
