Fans of The Exorcist rejoice. Not only is the franchise that gave us one of the scariest movies of all time making a killing on TV with a second season of the Fox horror series, but the team that brought us the award-winning A Chair in a Room: Greenwater is about to deliver a new frightening experience with The Exorcist: Legion VR.
British studio Wolf & Wood recently unveiled an announcement teaser for its next immersive episodic virtual reality horror adventure game that will let players participate in a series of “increasingly disturbing exorcisms as the plot unfolds across five unique chapters.” Not only will they be able to get their Father Merrin on, but players will also embark on a globe-trotting journey as they “discover multiple tools to use in [their] encounter with ancient supernatural entities.” That’s the glorious nature of a VR game, to allow players to experience a 3D environment as well as interact with it.
To whet our appetite for The Exorcist: Legion VR (so they won’t need the power of Christ to compel us), the studio also unleashed sneak peeks at the game’s first two chapters, to be simultaneously released on all major headsets (Vive, Oculus, and PlayStation VR) sometime this fall, with three more chapters soon to follow suit.
Have a look at the sneak peeks below, and head on over to the official site for updates on The Exorcist: Legion VR.
