"I want that McNugget Sauce, Morty!"

That's how Rick and Morty Season 3 kicked off, in the most ridiculously wonderful way possible. Rick Sanchez, the dimension-hopping mad scientist who takes his grandson Morty on increasingly ridiculous (and dark) adventures, just wanted that McDonald's Mulan Szechuan Sauce.

The sauce was sold as part of a limited-time promotion centered on the release of Disney's 1998 hit Mulan, and it's likely no one had thought about the condiment for years until Rick and Morty made it a central part of the Season 3 premiere. That sparked Szechuan Sauce madness, and McDonald's Chef Mike made three gallons of the stuff for a special Twitter giveaway (one lucky winner wound up selling his bottle to DJ Deadmau5, after an eBay listing that topped $10,000 fell through).

Now, other fans are getting the chance to taste the sauce, for one day only, on Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. (Yes, that's the Sunday of New York Comic Con).

McDonald's will gift fans with 1,000 limited-edition posters, each celebrating one of its 10 sauces, like Honey Mustard, Sweet & Sour, Creamy Ranch, and of course, Szechuan Sauce.

"That's right, collectible art, worthy of the pop-culture status fans have given their favorite sauces," McDonald's says. "After nearly 20 years (and perhaps a bit of time travel) we're even doing the impossible... On Oct. 7, together with the collectible sauce-themed posters, we're also giving away a one-time only, limited-edition, run of Szechuan Sauce in select restaurants."

You can follow the link above to find out if there's a McDonald's near you that will have the legendary sauce. And you can wait — hopefully for not more than a few years — for the next season of Rick and Morty.
