What would happen if a few amateur ghost hunters actually stumbled upon some legit evil spirits? That’s the question Saw co-creator James Wan aims to answer with his new horror flick, Demonic.
The film is a mix of traditional narrative and found footage, focusing on the aftermath of a massacre that left five college students dead at an abandoned home. The film will flash back to the events at the house from the present-day investigation as police piece together the narrative of the would-be ghost hunters’ final night.
Demonic stars Maria Bello (A History of Violence) and Frank Grillo (Captain America: Winter Soldier) and was co-written and produced by Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring). Directorial duties were handled by relative newcomer Will Canon (Brotherhood). The debut trailer looks creepy enough, and this one seems like a solid fit with its fellow mid-budget horror acolytes.
