Six Flags theme parks are loading up on Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn themed rides over the next couple years. I would like to think it is a cool ode to female empowerment, but I'm no dummy. The financial successes of the Wonder Woman film and the toys and accessories of the new Harley Quinn led to this. Even still, it's pretty cool.
In 2018, Six Flags Fiesta Texas will launch the world's first single-rail roller coaster. Called Wonder Woman Golden Lasso, passengers sit one behind the other, and the coaster will hit top speeds of 50 miles per hour. The Golden Lasso will also include a 90-degree drop, two airtime hills, a 180-degree stall, and a zero-g roll.
At Six Flags Mexico, the simply-named Wonder Woman Coaster is a 4D Free Fly coaster. It will lift riders up a 12-story, 90-degree hill and then propell them backwards, forwards, and head-over-heels down an undulating vertically-stacked track. Wonder Woman Coaster will also open in 2018.
Six Flags New England and Six Flags Over Texas will both get Harley Quinn Spinsanity. This pendulum ride will whirl riders at speeds up to 70 mph and up to heights of 147 feet.
Finally, Six Flag's North Carolina Discovery Kingdom will introduce Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster. This inverted looping coaster has two dueling trains that goes along a vertical, figure eight track at speeds up to 70 mph.
