Getting anxious waiting for the Tremors TV series? Well then sit back, relax ... and enjoy a new Tremors film. The sixth in the film series, Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell hits Blu-ray, DVD, and digital on May 1.
Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell takes the Graboids out of the desert and puts them into the Canadian tundra. Michael Gross returns as Burt Gummer, who is called to a remote research station to investigate a series of deaths by giant killer worms. Once there, Gummer begins to suspect that the Graboids have been weaponized by the government. His investigation is sidelined when he is poisoned with Graboid venom and an antidote must be produced.
Jamie Kennedy also returns to the franchise as Travis, Burt's son. New to the franchise are Tanya van Graan (Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, Death Race: Inferno), Greg Kriek (Maze Runner: The Death Cure), and Jay Anstey (Blood Drive, Hell Trip).
Kevin Bacon isn't in Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell because he is busy with the Tremors TV series for SYFY. Filming wrapped on the show in November, and is said to be a direct follow-up to the original film, ignoring all the direct-to-video films. The TV series sees Bacon returning as Valentine McKee, the hero from the original film, who must deal with alcoholism, age, and a delusional hero complex in order to save the town once again. Bacon is the only actor from the Tremors film series who will appear in the TV series.
