Acclaimed DJ Paul Oakenfold is breaking into a new medium -- but he's doing it in a familiar way. The record producer and Grammy Award winner is teaming up with Z2 Comics to write a memoir about his music career to date.

Titled The Wonderful World of Perfecto: With Paul Oakenfold and Friends, the graphic novel is being paired with an original soundtrack by Oakenfold himself.

Several artists are illustrating the memoir, including 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank’s Tyler Boss, Welcome to Showside’s Ian McGinty, and WOODnLeG (made up of Darren LeGallo and Chandler Wood), who have provided the artwork for the cover.

Oakenfold's book joins others that have already been developed by Z2 to match up original comics and music in an exciting twist on the medium. The publisher has already released Murder Ballads by Gabe Soria, Paul Reinwand, and Chris Hunt, which included a soundtrack by singer-songwriter Robert Finley, and Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.

You can watch the trailer for The Wonderful World of Perfecto below, as well as an exclusive preview of the artwork over at THR, and check out the memoir itself when it drops on December 12.
