The character of Mantis won't be introduced until Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but actress Pom Klementieff has more or less confirmed she will return for Avengers: Infinity War.
Filming on the epic team-up is now in full swing in Atlanta, and even though we already have a huge Who's Who list of Marvel heroes set to return, even more characters are being added to the roster seemingly almost every day.
Over the weekend, Pom Klementieff took to Instagram, where she posted a photo of herself wearing a beanie hat sporting the Avengers: Infinity War logo.
That's not all: a couple of days before, the Canadian actress released a pic -- from Atlanta, Georgia -- featuring the comic book cover for issue #123 of The Avengers, which featured a story that revealed the shocking origins of Mantis to the Avengers.
Comic Book Movie points out this may be a hint that Mantis' meeting with the Avengers in the film may not go so well, and although that's certainly a possibility, we'll have to wait and see what writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have cooked up for us.
Mantis will be joining her fellow Guardians team members Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Nebula and Drax, as well as Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Captain America, Iron Man, Winter Soldier, the Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Maria Hill and Nick Fury in the fight against the Mad Titan Thanos.
Set to the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will blast onto movie theaters on May 5. Avengers: Infinity War will open a year later (almost to the day) on May 4, 2018.
