A few years ago, artist Juan Ortiz embarked on a bold adventure to create an original poster for each of the 80 Star Trek: The Original Series episodes at the rate of four per month.  The result was a galaxy of geeky tribute artwork that was eventually compiled into Titan's handsome coffee-table collection.

As a fantastic follow-up to that ambitious project, Ortiz spent last year designing 178 new posters for Star Trek: TNG and gathered them in a deluxe hardcover edition titled Star Trek The Next Generation: The Art of Juan Ortiz.

This beautiful 208-page art volume from Titan Books was just released last week as part of the 30th aniversary of the beloved sci-fi series that ran from 1987-1994.

Here's the official description:

Following on from Juan Ortiz’s fabulous Original Series movie-poster collection, this latest treat for art-loving Trek fans features 178 posters that capture the essence of The Next Generation. Inspired by indie-film and black-light posters, comics and rock/punk culture and showcasing Ortiz’s unique creative vision, this new instalment of original Trek art is sure to delight fans worldwide.
