Forget Fast and the Furious—Vin Diesel's all about Riddick. Production on the latest sequel has finally begun, and we've got a behind-the-scenes photo to prove it.
Riddick is back, and this time he's got a cape. He's also sporting some heavy armor that covers his shoulders, chest and wrists. It looks like his old-school tank top just wouldn't do.
Diesel posted the photo on his official Facebook page with the caption:
"Grateful for the opportunity to make magic...
P.s. One from the set..."
The film's rumored title is The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking, and it'll feature new characters portrayed by Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff and stage actor Nolan Funk. The film is scheduled to hit theaters sometime next year.
Here's the plot synopsis:
"Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction."
