As the 2013-2014 TV season begins winding down, some shows are getting good news, while others are getting the ax.
For many shows, particularly the midseason replacements, there's still a lot of TV to go between now and an official network decision on their future. Other shows, though, have already had their fates decided, while more are still fighting to make the last few episodes of their seasons count. We've covered 54 shows here so far this season, and quite a few of them have already gotten renewed or canceled. So, to help you keep track, we listed all of the renewals and cancellations, by the day of the week each show airs, below. And for those shows that still haven't received a decision, we offer a few thoughts on how likely renewal is.
Beauty and the Beast (CW) -- CANCELLATION LIKELY
A few weeks ago, the second-season CW drama was put on hiatus, with the remaining episodes set to air sometime this summer. The show's demo score and viewership has lately only been about half what it drew in season one, so this hiatus would appear to be the final nail in Beauty and the Beast's coffin.
Teen Wolf (MTV) -- RENEWED
Teen Wolf is still going just as strong as it was last year. Season three ended last week, but season four is already scheduled to premiere in June, so if you're a hungry fan, you don't have long to wait.
Lost Girl (Syfy) 0.76 million viewers/0.3
Lost Girl's ratings on Syfy were not what they once were this season, but the show does have a future. It was renewed for a fifth season earlier this year by Canada's Showcase network. Syfy has not yet decided if it will air the season as well, but even if Syfy passes, you'll still have more episodes of the show eventually.
Being Human (Syfy) -- CANCELLED
Being Human had a solid four-season run at Syfy, but its series finale will air Monday, April 7.
Bitten (Syfy) -- UNCERTAIN
Bitten''s ratings haven't been great this year, but they haven't been dismal either. We're nearing the season-one finale, though, and both its original Canadian network and Syfy have yet to announce a renewal or a cancellation. We'll see if the finale puts up convincing numbers.
Intelligence (CBS) -- CANCELLATION LIKELY
Intelligence had solid premiere numbers, but from the moment it took a sharp drop with episode two, it's looked rather doomed. Over the last few weeks it's hit series low after series low, fueling speculation that it's not long for this world.
Archer (FX) -- RENEWED FOR TWO MORE SEASONS
Archer has slipped somewhat this year, but its numbers were still good enough to give it two more years.
The Following (FOX) -- RENEWED
The Following has been slipping in recent weeks as well, but it's already coming back.
Star-Crossed (CW) -- CANCELLATION LIKELY
Star-Crossed premiered soft and has just stayed that way. Another season looks very unlikely.
Bates Motel (FX) -- UNCERTAIN
Bates Motel has hit a slump in its season, with some episodes managing only about half of the strong demo numbers put up in season one. It's still got time to fight, though, and we won't count it out yet.
The Tomorrow People (CW) -- CANCELLATION LIKELY
The Tomorrow People started with reasonable numbers, then kept slipping and slipping and slipping into cancellation territory. A move to what might have been a more favorable Monday night timeslot didn't help, either. It's hard to see this show sticking around.

Almost Human (FOX) — Returns Unknown, Cancellation Likely
Defiance (Syfy) — Returns June 2014
Sleepy Hollow (FOX) — Returns Fall 2014
Tron: Uprising (Disney XD) — Returns Unknown
Under the Dome (CBS) — Returns June 30
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC) -- RENEWAL LIKELY
Much has been made about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s supposed rating woes this season, and while the show isn't the runaway hit the premiere numbers might have suggested, it's still one of ABC's stronger series, and the boost DVR viewers provides it is hard to ignore. For example, the March 11 broadcast of the show got a big enough DVR lift to boost that episode's demo score from a 2.1 to a 3.5 in Live+7 Ratings. It might not be a sure thing, but we're thinking season two is probably coming.
Person of Interest (CBS) -- RENEWED
Person of Interest wasn't quite as strong this year as it was last season, but it was definitely strong enough to stick around.
Supernatural (CW) -- RENEWED
Against all odds, Supernatural actually improved its ratings and viewership over last season this year. It'll be back for a 10th season in the fall.
The Originals (CW) -- RENEWED
The Originals might not pack the same punch as its parent show, The Vampire Diaries, but it was close enough to earn a second year.
Arrow (CW) -- RENEWED
Arrow stayed strong in its second season, so it'll stick around for at least one more.
Revolution (NBC) -- UNCERTAIN
Revolution keeps slipping and slipping, but we might not be able to count it out yet. Its Live+7 numbers are solid (compared to the live numbers, anyway), and it's still fighting for one more season.
The 100 (CW) -- RENEWAL LIKELY
It's still a bit early to make the call on a show like The 100, but if it can keep up the strong numbers it's set so far, a second season is probable.
Shows on Hiatus
American Horror Story (FX) — Returns Fall 2014
DreamWorks' Dragons (TOON) — Returns Unknown
The Big Bang Theory (CBS) -- RENEWED FOR THREE MORE SEASONS
No surprise here. Big Bang Theory is a ratings juggernaut, and CBS wants to keep it around to churn out big numbers for at least three more years.
Elementary (CBS) -- RENEWED
Season two's numbers weren't quite as strong as season one's, but they were more than good enough to get Elementary another season of cases.
The Vampire Diaries (CW) -- RENEWED
The Vampire Diaries continues to be one of its network's strongest shows, so it's no surprise it's coming back in the fall.
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (ABC) -- CANCELED
Apparently one fairy tale show on CBS was enough. Viewers never quite responded to Wonderland, so it won't be coming back.
Shows on Hiatus
Saving Hope (NBC) — Returns Unknown
Wilfred (FXX) — Returns 2014
Grimm (NBC) -- RENEWED
Grimm is still pulling strong numbers on Friday nights, so it's coming back for another year.
Hannibal (NBC) -- UNCERTAIN
Hannibal has never been known for big ratings, but it is proving consistent this season, and it's Live+7 numbers give it a nice boost. A third season is far from certain, but it's also far from unlikely.
The Neighbors (ABC) -- CANCELLATION LIKELY
The Neighbors has struggled all season, and as a result it looks like another won't happen.
Helix (Syfy) -- RENEWED
Helix built a consistent viewership over the course of its first season that proved good enough to get it a second.
Shows On Hiatus
Continuum (Syfy) — Returns April 4
Dracula (NBC) — Returns Unknown
Haven (Syfy) — Returns Fall 2014
Shows on Hiatus
Atlantis (BBC) -- Returns Unknown
Doctor Who (BBC) -- Returns Fall 2014
Orphan Black (BBC) -- Returns April 19
In The Flesh (BBC) — Returns Spring 2014
The Walking Dead (AMC) RENEWED
The Walking Dead capped its fourth season with its best finale numbers yet, and a fifth season is on the way.
Once Upon a Time (ABC) -- RENEWAL LIKELY
Once Upon a Time hasn't gotten the official renewal notice yet, but it's still putting up strong numbers, and the renewal chances are equally strong.
Resurrection (ABC) -- RENEWAL LIKELY
It's still early, but Resurrection has dominated Sunday network TV since its premiere, so unless it takes a drastic drop, it looks like we can count on renewal.
Cosmos (FOX) -- N/A
Cosmos is a special miniseries event, so the renewal/cancellation conversation is less relevant here. Its ratings might be strong enough to ensure similar programming in the future, but it has been slipping a bit lately, so even that is uncertain.
Believe (NBC) -- CANCELLATION POSSIBLE
It's too early to say Believe is doomed, but it's been dropping since the premiere, and it might have already fallen too far.
