How Spider-Man: Homecoming should have ended, with Superman, Batman and Miles Morales

SPOILER WARNING: Spider-Man: Homecoming plot discussed below!

Overall, Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Homecoming was a highly entertaining swing into the life of one of Marvel's most iconic superheroes, complete with an effective and engaging performance by Tom Holland as Peter Parker.

It was also an extremely profitable venture between Sony and Marvel, which raked in a healthy $879 million in worldwide box office bucks, while at the same time pleasing finicky fans.

But some audiences took issue with the film's safe, pedestrian ending, as Spidey foils The Vulture's (Michael Keaton) diabolical plan to rip off a plane full of Avengers-grade high-tech gadgetry and alien weapons, rejects a sweet new advanced outfit from Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), and then gets seen in costume by his f-bomb dropping Aunt May (Marisa Tomei).

So the funny folks at How It Should Have Ended have cooked up an alternate finale (with the help of 30K fan ideas) for the fresh webslinger spectacle, complete with an instant kill feature for the Spidey suit, heightened security for the ridiculously expensive Avengers cargo plane, a sit-down with Batman and Superman, Peter embracing his weaponized supersuit as a newly indoctrinated member of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and even Miles Morales making a surprise appearance!

Have a peek at the alternate ending below, and tell us if you prefer any of these reworked plot points for Spider-Man: Homecoming more than the originals.
