The fourth season of Fox’s Sleepy Hollow will kick off with a bang in the New Year when Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) — and the show —moves from the quaint town of Sleepy Hollow in upstate New York to Washington D.C. in the wake of the shocking death of fellow Witness Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie).
Fox has released a preview of Season 4 which teases the show’s new setting, new allies and the new dangers Ichabod and Abbie’s sister Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) will face in the upcoming season. The promo below also shows the return of a very familiar headless figure, while John Noble has been confirmed to return as Crane’s son, Henry Parrish/the Horseman of War.
As some of you may already know, Season 4 sees Ichabod Crane moving into a haunted apartment and getting a new partner in Diana Thomas (True Blood’s Janina Gavankar), a single mother and former military officer who now works for Homeland Security. Since the character doesn’t believe in demons or anything supernatural, this will cause some tension with our centuries-old hero. As for some of the new threats, Lost alum Jeremy Davies will recur as the show’s new villain, and one of the non-supernatural variety to boot. Davies will play Malcolm Dreyfuss, a tech mogul and billionaire who's “a dark mirror to Tom Mison’s Crane.”
In the Season 4 premiere [titled “Columbia”], Crane and Jenny begin to navigate life following the unexpected death of Abbie Mills. When he finds himself in a the nation’s capital, Crane must forge unlikely partnerships in his quest to find the next Witness, as he discovers that there is more evil at play than he realized was possible.
Take a look at the super atmospheric preview below, and let us know if you plan on tuning in for Sleepy Hollow Season 4 on Jan. 6 on Fox.
