We've been awaiting the moment when we can pick up LEGO Batman 3 and make Batman do the Batusi dance since its announcement. Now, sadly, we can expect to wait even longer. Although the release has been given a general Q3 date, we believe we'll be twiddling our thumbs until November. Here's why.
LEGO will be collaborating (or is that co-op playing?) with DC Comics on a variant cover for the upcoming Detective Comics issue #36, and the nature of the cover suggests that it's going to be timed with the release of the game. That means we'll see this awesome picture of Batman minifig bursting out of the page ... in November.
For those of you who don't do quarter-speak, that's Q4.
This adorable cover is only one of the reasons we won't grumble too loudly over the delay. The other is that Batman isn't the only character to get the LEGO treatment. Other characters to be LEGO-ized for variant covers include Aquaman, Batgirl, Catwoman and Wonder Woman.
Boo, delayed release date. Yay, tiny Batgirl.
