The wait is almost over. We've finally got less than a month to go until Mystery Science Theater 3000 returns to our screens with new episodes for the first time in more than a decade. This time around, there's an entirely new cast, led by Jonah Ray as the poor sap who's shot into space and forced to watch bad movies day in and day out in the name of mad science.
Speaking of mad science, a new cast also means new Mads, the devious minds who will send Johnah cheesy movies, the worst they can find (la la la). This time around, the villains are Kinga Forrester, daughter of Dr. Clayton Forrester, and TV's Son of TV's Frank (Will this be my favorite new character name of 2017? Probably, my friends. Probably.), played by nerd favorites Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt, respectively.
We've seen glimpses of the new Mads, thanks to things like the cast photo that surfaced a few weeks ago, but since no footage from the new episodes has dropped yet, we don't really know exactly what to expect from these characters. Now we've got a little bit of a better idea, thanks to a new photo revealed by Day on her Twitter account this week.

Well, that's a delightfully evil/adorable (adorabevil?) photo if ever I saw one, and they definitely look like they could dig up cheesy movies to make Jonah watch while they monitor his mind (la la la). I couldn't be more excited for this series to return, and now that I've successflly implanted the theme song in your head for the rest of the day, I'm sure you're excited too.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 returns April 14 on Netflix.
