DinoTomic uses all sorts of media to express his art, but one of them happens to be salt. Yes, like that stuff you shake liberally upon your boyfriend's dinner because he overcooked the chicken for the millionth time (get it together, Jeff).
Sure, it's not the most permanent of resources to use and what you craft isn't going to last very long, but that's life, really -- it's short and ends just when you least expect it. You know where I learned that hard truth? Bless you, no, it's not from the mean streets. No, I learned about the harsh realities of life and death where I assume everyone does:
Game of Thrones
And so it is with that not-at-all heavy-handed transition that I bring you to DinoTomic's masterwork of none other than the Queen of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen.
That is just tremendous. So what gave our artist the interest and ability to create something so stunning? From his own words:
"[Salt is a] really interesting and fun medium to work with. It really resembles airbrushing (i was working with the airbrush about 5 years ago) so it was really not that hard to get into salt. After i crafted a few tools to help me distribute the salt, things were way easier to work with."
All that and there's video! But, let it be known for those of you faint of heart, the artist does destroy his own work when he's done, and not even with a plate of fries as you might hope. Beautiful, but heartbreaking. Just like Game of Thrones.
Gosh, I hope they don't kill Daenerys this season!
