Following the news that a documentary about Mad Max director George Miller’s canceled Justice League Mortal flick is in the works, the official Twitter account for that documentary has released some never-before-seen pieces of concept art and a head sculpt, giving us a look at what Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter might have looked like in Miller's mysterious and intriguing comic-book movie. Apparently, what you’ll see below are not the final character designs, and changes would have been made to the Amazonian Princess, the King of the Seven Seas and J’onn J’onzz. Have a look:
Australian director Ryan Unicomb is currently hard at work on the documentary (it’s in development). Justice League Mortal would have starred Armie Hammer as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Adam Brody as the Flash, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul, Zoe Kasan as Iris Allen and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter. It’ll feature unseen artwork, interviews with the cast and crew and a behind-the-scenes look at what in heck happened to kill George Miller’s ambitious superhero project.
