Looks like the newest alliance on Into the Badlands is already off to a pretty ... contentious start.
Last week's episode ended on an unexpected note when Sunny (Daniel Wu) found himself fighting alongside the Widow (Emily Beecham) for once, as his desire to reunite with his lady love Veil (Madeleine Mantock) won out over any personal reservations. It's a strategy that has no doubt left many people scratching their heads, including Quinn (Marton Csokas).
As we see in this scene clip below from "Nightingale Sings No More," the surprising détente between two of the most formidable fighters in the Badlands is not progressing smoothly -- and may be over sooner than anticipated.
Not only does Sunny have to contend with the Widow’s own Clipper force, but he's also got to take on her crossbow-wielding Butterflies -- and he does it all without ever drawing Silver Moon's sword. (However, his parkour skills are most impressive.) This week's penultimate episode will also shine a light on a huge secret from Bajie (Nick Frost)'s past -- could it be that he finally learns where his long-lost trainee "Flea" has been hanging out all this time? It certainly sounds like that's his voice calling out to Sunny towards the end of the clip -- and we've definitely seen him wield an axe in defense of his BFF before.
There are only two episodes left this season, so be sure to tune in Sunday, May 14, at 10 p.m. so you don't miss a single second of what's next for our Badlands faves.
