Jessica Henwick has been very busy. For over a year, she’s been entrenched in the Marvel Universe, bringing Colleen Wing to life. In March she co-starred in the Netflix series Iron Fist and is expected to reprise her role in this summer’s The Defenders. Somehow, between two demanding projects she still managed to squeeze in Game of Thrones.

Henwick will return as Nymeria Sand for Game of Thrones’ upcoming seventh season. As part of the infamous Sand Snakes, Nymeria is a skilled fighter and one of the many bastard children of the late Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal). In the Season 6 finale, she and her sisters, as well as Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma), were ready to join forces with Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg).

The new alliance will be another obstacle for Queen Cersei (Lena Headey) and her continued quest for power. According to Henwick, Game of Thrones Season 7 will hit the ground running. “We pick up right where we left off and get into the nitty-gritty very quickly. There is no time wasted this season.”

Considering the extended hiatus, everyone’s ready for these stories and people to collide.
