Feels like James Franco is everywhere these days (he recently had a small cameo in Alien: Covenant), and the actor's new project includes starring in director Dan Bush’s (The Signal) supernatural thriller The Vault.
Described as “The Town meets The Sixth Sense,” the movie shows a bank robbery gone very, very wrong when the robbers and the bank’s hapless employees come face to face with something (a killer, many killers, a supernatural being?) in the bank’s super-creepy downstairs vault.
Check out the movie synopsis:
“In order to save their brother Michael’s life, the Dillon sisters, Leah and Vee have organized a bank robbery, but when the upstairs vault doesn’t have enough money to cover Michael’s debt, on the advice of Assistant Bank Manager Ed Maas, they drill into the downstairs vault. But the bank’s basement hides a terrible secret and before long, the Dillons have to choose whether to face the police outside or the terrible supernatural forces in the vault below.”
The Vault also stars Francesca Eastwood (Final Girl), Taryn Manning (Orange is the New Black) and relative newcomers Scott Haze and Q’Orianka Kilcher, as well as Clifton Collins Jr. (2009’s Star Trek) and is slated to open its doors on Sept. 1 in the U.S. and Sept. 8 in the UK. Are you intrigued by The Vault?
