James Gunn continues to be one the most generous Marvel filmmakers when it comes to giving fans extras. Case in point: His latest Instagram post reveals a behind-the-scenes exclusive of how High Priestess Ayesha’s futuristic golden gown was created for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

“One of the most important design elements for me in #GuardiansoftheGalaxyVol2 was High Priestess Ayesha’s gown and throne in the character’s first scene,” Gunn began in his caption alongside the pictures.

“It was important to me that the gown and the throne worked together as one object -- which meant an unusual collaboration between costume designer Judianna Makovsky and production designer Scott Chambliss,” he added.

Gunn also revealed that because the garment was so intricate, it had to be specially designed to fit around actress around Elizabeth Debicki’s body. “Every single texture and material was intricately considered. I really like the character of Ayesha and can’t wait to see more of her in the future,” he explained.

The director is often posting sneak peeks from the set of the movie as well as revealing exciting tidbits of information from the production.

Gunn is set to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will be one of the movies to launch a whole new Marvel Cinematic Universe storyline. He has previously said that the movie will “take place after the next two Avengers movies, and it will help to set up the next 10 to 20 years of Marvel movies.”
