Check out these new set shots of John Boyega clad in the neural-enhanced suit of an elite jaeger pilot from next year's Pacific Rim sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising.  Originally titled Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, this potential blockbuster is being produced by Guillermo del Toro and directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus, Daredevil).

The giant robo-versus-mutant-monster mash is currently filming in multiple locations in Australia and China.  Boyega will play the son of Idris Elba's Stacker Pentecost from the original 2013 film that went on to collect $411 million worldwide off an estimated $190 million budget. The Star Wars: The Force Awakens star will join Rinko Kikuchi, reprising her role as Mako Mori, alongside Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Karl Urban, Scott Eastwood and Cailee Spaeny.

Inspect Boyega's badass jaeger jumpsuit in the gallery below and tell us if you'll storm the theaters when Pacific Rim: Uprising thunders into theaters on Feb. 23, 2018.
